12-Month Internal Marketing Calendar

Building relationships with current patients is what internal marketing is all about. 

Internal marketing is a predictable and inexpensive way to increase practice productivity. An effective internal marketing program requires interpersonal skills training combined with a minimum of 15 strategies that function together to effectively increase patient referrals. An annual internal marketing plan should be implemented amongst the entire practice and modified and evaluated on a regular basis to ensure a high level of effectiveness.      

      To Set You Up For Success:

  1. Select at least one internal marketing campaign per month and at least 15 minimum per year to maximize your return.
  2. Involve your team members 100% of the time. If you don’t have a dedicated marketing team, ask team members to run one campaign each month. Let their creativity flow- but give clear direction with ideas, goals, and results. Hold them accountable.
  3. Create a calendar of events and share on your website & social media.
  4. Use your TV monitors that are patient facing to display marketing material. 
  5. Follow up and follow through.
  6. Use your morning huddle and team meetings to give updates on the campaigns. How’s it going, what are you seeing, need to adjust anything?
  7. Use each month’s campaign as a way to drive patient referrals. 
  8. Track, Track, Track your results. Make adjustments as needed.
